ANZ Prepaid Shop - Prepaid Gift Cards.

The prepaid visa cards here are presented more as gift cards. A Visa Gift Card. Like the above-mentioned cards, it is also accepted everywhere that you can use Visa electronically. Instead of the customers seeing it as a general purpose card like Bopo, it is something that you would get a friend or family member as a gift.

The company focuses on the gift card that you can personalize for yourself and the ones you want to give it to. It also emphasizes on the packaging that the recipient's card would be delivered in. The gift pack has a specially designed envelope wherein you can put personalized messages for your loved one.

Buying a Visa Gift Card costs $6.50. If for example you would like to buy a gift card for $200.00, the amount you would pay would be $206.50. It can be purchased online at www.prepaidshop.com.au. Other fees are associated with phone services such as checking balances on the card and other general phone enquiries. Enquiries made via the phone service menu are charged at $1.20 per call. If you speak to a customer service operator this is an additional cost of $4.00 per call.

These service charges are paid by the card recipient and are deducted from the available card balance. Although the cards may be used in millions of Visa merchants, it isn't as secure as the other two cards. If you lose one of these cards, it is like losing cash. You must keep it safe. The company will not return the balance that has been lost along with the card.

They are not reusable. You cannot replenish the amount that it started with when you got it. Once the amount has been used up, or when it expires, the company recommends that you cut the card diagonally in half. These cards also have to be used within 12 months or so. After the specified date of expiry, all the unused funds in card are forfeited.
