CANVAS is also a Prepaid Visa Card provider. Simply load funds into the card and use it like a credit card wherever VISA is accepted: internet, nationwide or overseas There is an initial card application fee of just $7.95 (or, if you need a higher limit card, it is just $19.95). It costs just $3.75 each time you load funds onto your Card and there's a monthly management fee of $2.95.

CANVAS cards can be loaded via BPAY or any e-pay merchants nationwide.
Withdrawing money from an ATM costs $1.75 a transaction in Australia, or $1.95 offshore; a charge of $0.75 for declined ATM fee as well as an ATM Inquiry fee.

Checking your balance can also incur fees. If you do it over the internet, it's free. But checking by SMS costs 20 cents and using an ATM to check how much money is on your card will reduce its balance by $1. Cardholders are also charged a $3.75 fee for loading the card with funds.
