Ikobo - Visa Prepaid Cards.

Ikobo is also offers Prepaid Visa Card to it's members. The Ikobo service is alot like Western Union money wiring service. Ikobo allows members to send money to family members via their online services and their service fees are quite lower than Western Union.

The Ikobo service is free to join and quite simple to use. Once joining, you tell Ikobo who to send the money to and how much. They'll then ship your recipient a reloadable iKobo Visa® Prepaid Card. Fees do apply when sending the Ikobo Visa Prepaid Card.

Because the Ikobo prepaid card is linked to the Visa, Recipients can get cash from over 1,000,000 ATMs worldwide
and use their card wherever Visa debit cards are accepted!

There is an initial card application fee varies due to the price of the delivery fee. For customers within Us and Canada it's only $1.95 US for international customers it's $11.95 US. I wasn't able to find any information regarding fees to loading funds onto the card but there is a monthly management fee of $0.99.

Withdrawing money from an ATM costs $1.99 a transaction worldwide. A charge of $0.99 for declined ATM fee. ATM Inquiry is free.

Checking your balance can also incur fees. If you do it over the internet, it's free. But checking by SMS costs 20 cents and using an ATM to check how much money is on your card will reduce its balance by $1. Cardholders are also charged a $3.75 fee for loading the card with funds.

Unsure if the card can be used for Internet gambling and Adult Entertainment sites.

You can use a Visa or MasterCard Debit /Credit card to send money for the first time. You can also use your U.S. Bank account or Checkfree to send money after you have made at least one successful transfer using your credit card. Unfortunately the Ikobo service does not allow you to fund your account via Paypal.com or E-gold.com
